WaveLab
The WaveLab software was designed to extract sea and barometric pressure data from selectively deployed instruments, calculate water levels, and finally compute wave statistics where applicable. There is also a utility to extract slices from the sea and barometric pressure time series for multiple purposes including getting values of interest and cropping out spurious values. The output includes CF compliant NetCDF files with a rich amount of metadata as well as simple ascii files and visualizations. The output from WaveLab has been designed to be both easily used in further analysis and understandable to multiple domains. The software has been in operational use since 2015 by the USGS. Output data from previous storm events are available publicly on the Flood Event Viewer: https://stn.wim.usgs.gov/FEV/.
