Genesis of the tabular-type vanadium-uranium deposits of the Henry Basin, Utah
Tabular-type vanadium-uranium deposits occur in fluvial sandstones of the Salt Wash Member of the Morrison Formation of Late Jurassic age The mineralized intervals and the weakly mineralized lateral extensions are bounded both above and below by zones rich in dolomite cement. Carbon isotope values of dolomite cements indicate that at least two sources of carbon existed. One source appears to be th

Age of uranium mineralization at the Jabiluka and Ranger deposits, Northern Territory, Australia: New U-Pb isotope evidence
The Ranger and Jabiluka uranium deposits are the largest in the Alligator Rivers uranium field, which contains at least 20 percent of the world's low-cost uranium reserves. Ore occurs in early Proterozoic metasediments, below an unconformity with sandstones of the 1.65-b.y.-old Kombolgie Formation. This study has used U-Pb isotope data from a large number of whole-rock drill core samples with a va

U-Pb isochron age and Pb isotope systematics of the Golden Fleece vein; implications for the relationship of mineralization to the Lake City caldera, western San Juan Mountains, Colorado
A U-Pb isochron age of 27.5 + or - 0.5 m.y. has been determined for the Golden Fleece vein, southwestern Colorado, which contains an assemblage of pitchblende and gold-silver tellurides unique within the Lake City area. Initial Pb isotope ratios of ore samples from the vein ( 206 Pb/ 204 Pb = 19.08-19.58; 207 Pb/ 204 Pb = 15.643-15.682; 208 Pb/ 204 Pb = 38.533-38.84) are among the most radiogenic

Stream-sediment geochemical survey of the Bureau of Land Management's Arkansas Canyon Planning Unit in south-central (Canon City area) Colorado
A mineral assessment study was undertaken by Barringer Resources, Inc., Golden, Colorado, on behalf of the Bureau of Land Management covering the Arkansas Canyon Planning Unit in south-central Colorado near Canon City. A total of 700 stream-sediment samples were collected (Plate I) and subsequently analyzed by Barringer Resources.
