Survival data of transplanted sagebrush (Artemesia tridentata) seedlings in relation to vegetative, organismal, and topographic conditions after megafire

This dataset contains information on the survival of individual sagebrush seedlings, stands of seedlings and the vegetative and topographic conditions in which they were planted.

Riparian Final Vegclass. Olympic National Park NRCA Westside Rivers Riparian Vegetation Project (2016)

Beschta and Ripple (2012) assert that increased elk populations in the Olympic National Park due to extirpation of wolves in the 1920s has led to a reduction in riparian vegetation. They hypothesize that a decrease in this vegetation has led to an increase in erosion and undercutting of large conifer trees along the river banks, causing woody debris in the river, which in turn impacts channel morp

Weed-suppressive bacteria data set collected on Mid-Columbia National Wildlife Refuge

We conducted a case studies testing effectiveness of a soil borne bacteria, Pseudomonas fluorescens strain D7, in controlling Bromus tectorum (cheatgrass) and in affecting the density of sown desirable seedlings. Response variables (foliar cover, aboveground biomass, and density of B. tectorum; density of sown native plants) were measured for three years after treatment.

Anticoagulant rodenticide exposure in Barred Owls (Strix varia) collected in Washington and Oregon 2015-2017

This dataset includes anticoagulant rodenticide (AR) screening results of 40 Barred Owls (Strix varia) collected in forested landscapes of Washington and Oregon from 2015-2017. Liver tissue was collected from each owl and screened for exposure to eight AR compounds, including 4 first-generation ARs (warfarin, diphacinone, chlorophacinone, and coumachlor), and 4 second-generation ARs (brodifacoum,

Continuous Analog of a Binomial Distribution: d/p/q/r Family of Functions

This R package provides a standard d/p/q/r suite of functions for a continuous binomial distribution as presented by: Ilienko, Andreii. 2013. Continuous counterparts of Poisson and binomial distributions and their properties. Annales Univ. Sci. Budapest, Sect. Comp. 39: 137-147. Several files are built into an R package and stored in two different formats: (1) .zip, which contains compiled binari

Reptile Richness in the Range of the Sage-grouse, Derived From Species Range Maps

These data depict reptile species richness within the range of the Greater Sage-grouse. Species boundaries were defined as the total extent of a species geographic limits. This raster largely used species range data from "U.S. Geological Survey - Gap Analysis Project Species Range Maps CONUS_2001", however in order for a more complete picture of species richness, additional sources were used for s

Occupancy data for spatiotemporal distribution assessments of bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus) and rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in the Bruneau and Jarbidge River Basins, Idaho and Nevada, USA, in water year 2016

eDNA-based spatiotemporal distribution data (occupancy model format) for rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus) within the Bruneau-Jarbidge Rivers Wilderness in southern Idaho and northern Nevada, USA. Data also include stream discharge and stream temperature data for each site. All data were collected between October 2015 and September 2016.

Trask Watershed Study Amphibian Survival and Movement Data, 2008-2015

This data set contains mark-recapture information for individuals of Dicamptodon tenebrosus and Ascaphus truei marked for individual recognition. Amphibians represented in this data set were captured in 14 first-order perennial and seasonally intermittent streams in the East Fork of the South Fork of the Trask River in the northern Oregon Coast Range. Individuals are larval and mature aquatic Dica

Northern Nevada aspen (Populus tremuloides) data (2010-2011) (ver. 2.0, January 2024)

This dataset contains two phases of research. The first dataset includes several variables that were sampled across aspen stands in the Santa Rosa, Ruby, and Jarbidge mountain ranges (Great Basin, Northern Nevada, USA) in 2010 and 2011. Across 101 aspen sites, several plot-level attributes were collected (e.g. elevation, slope, aspen stand type). For each plot, data describing live trees (both tho

Mercury concentrations in songbird feathers and tissues

This dataset includes the bird species, sex, age, and total mercury concentrations in feathers, muscle, liver, and nail tissues.

Terrestrial salamander captures after the 2003 Clark Fire, Willamette National Forest, OR

Data are the result of fixed-area, time-constrained searches for terrestrial salamanders within and nearby a wildfire-affected area of the Willamette National Forest, OR. The spatial extent of the study was within one kilometer of the border of the Clark fire that burned an area of 2,009 ha in 2003. Site surveys occurred during March and April, 2005. An important feature of the data is that 100m2

Biological soil crust cover from the Taylor Grazing Act exclosures

Seven exclosures that were part of the original 28 Taylor Grazing Act exclosures across northern Nevada were surveyed for cover of biological soil crusts in May 2018. Surveys consisted of 15 quadrats both inside and outside of the exclosures. Quadrats were used to measure biocrust cover via point-intercept at 39 vertices within each quadrat. Cattle grazing outside of the exclosures was characteriz
