UAS
The National Innovation Center supports a broad range of UxS research applications including stream velocity measurements, using ground penetrating radar to measure soil moisture and snow depth, and emissions detection for both volcanic gas monitoring and characterization as well as methane from regions of melting permafrost.
UAS Research Center

Supporting cutting edge research using UAS for earth science applications and missions for the National UAS Project Office (NUPO). Our UAS engineers design, build, test, and implement UAS and payload technologies supporting a wide range of projects including measuring streamflow and magnetics, to ground penetrating radar for soil moisture and snow depth.
6th Federal UxS Workshop

The National Innovation Center along with the USGS National Uncrewed Systems Office (NUSO) and the National Land Imaging Program and NASA partners host this semi-annual meeting of the federal UxS family to showcase the latest technology, standards, operational guidelines, and disaster response approaches.
