2019 Hydrographic Survey of Whetstone Brook

This dataset is a bathymetric and hydraulic structure survey of Whetstone Brook and two tributaries. The dataset consists of stream channel cross-section data and structural data for bridges, culverts, and dams.

09487000 - Brawley Wash near Three Points, AZ - 2018/09/19 GPS Survey

The dataset contains GPS survey data from two surveys conducted after a flow event on September 19, 2018, at the USGS streamgage 09487000 - Brawley Wash near Three Points, AZ. The first survey, on October 1, 2018, documents cross section geometry and high-water marks from the flow event in the reach downstream from the gage. The second survey, on January 31, 2019, documents additional high-water m

Data release for it matters when you measure it: using snow-cover Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) to isolate post-fire conifer regeneration

Landsat Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is commonly used to monitor post-fire green-up; however, most studies do not distinguish new growth of conifer from deciduous or herbaceous species, despite potential consequences for local climate, carbon and wildlife. We found that dual season (growing and snow cover) NDVI improved our ability to distinguish conifer tree presence and density.

Data release for the potential role of very high-resolution imagery to characterise lake, wetland and stream systems across the Prairie Pothole Region, United States

Aquatic features critical to watershed hydrology range widely in size from narrow, shallow streams to large, deep lakes. In this study we evaluated wetland, lake, and river systems across the Prairie Pothole Region to explore where pan-sharpened high-resolution (PSHR) imagery, relative to Landsat imagery, could provide additional data on surface water distribution and movement, missed by Landsat.

Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Irrigated Agriculture Datasets for the Conterminous United States (MIrAD-US)

NASS USDA estimates the irrigated croplands at county level every five years. But this estimation does not provide the geospatial information of the irrigated croplands. To provide a comprehensive, consistent, and timely geospatially detailed information about irrigated cropland conterminous U.S. (CONUS), the "Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Irrigated Agriculture Dataset for

State-and-Transition Simulation Model of Buffelgrass in Saguaro National Park (2014-2044)

This is a spatially-explicit state-and-transition simulation model of buffelgrass dynamics in Saguaro National Park. Buffelgrass is an invasive grass spreading in the park. The model represents uninvaded and invaded parts of the desert ecosystem including transition pathways related to management activities and includes a connection to a fire behavior model. The model was built using the ST-Sim so

Data Release for 2018 Update of the U.S. National Seismic Hazard Model

The 2018 Update of the U.S. National Seismic Hazard Model defines the potential for earthquake ground shaking for various probability levels across the conterminous United States and is applied in seismic provisions of building codes, insurance rate structures, risk assessments, and other public policy. The updated model represents an assessment of the best available science in earthquake hazards

Abundance and Distribution of Clear Lake Hitch in Clear Lake, Lake County, California, 2017-2022 (ver. 4.0, December 2022)

Field data for fishes sampled using bottom and surface gill nets during daylight hours in Clear Lake, California, USA. This data release includes all measured environmental parameters and fish taxa included in the analysis.

Water Temperature of Selected Tributaries of Clear Lake, Lake County, California

The dataset includes water temperature and atmospheric pressure data collected from selected key tributaries Clear Lake, Lake County, California, used for spawning by the Clear Lake Hitch (Lavinia exilicauda chi): Kelsey Creek, Siegler Creek, Middle Creek, Adobe Creek, and Cole Creek. Data were collected with ONSET HOBO Model U20L-002 loggers.
