Site table and bias corrections for Coastal Data Information Program (CDIP) hind casts at the California Channel Islands

We present correction coefficients for hourly wave height and period hind casts for 32 sites throughout the Channel Islands National Park and San Nicolas Island. Each site is described in terms of its location, orientation, and transect depth. To use this table, first generate a site-specific wave height and period hind cast using the California Coastal Data Information Program (CDIP) Monitoring

Hourly wave-height observations from 2013 to 2017 at 32 sites throughout the Channel Islands National Park and San Nicolas Island

Hourly wave-height observations at 32 sites throughout the Channel Islands National Park and San Nicolas Island, site-specific hind casts from the Coastal Data Information Program (CDIP), and contemporary wave height, period, and direction from regional buoys taken during intervals between 2013 and 2017.

Hourly wave height and period hindcasts at 32 sites throughout the Channel Islands National Park and San Nicolas Island from 2000-2017

California's Coastal Data Information Program (CDIP) has a hind cast feature that allows one to model hourly height and period at known locations back to 2000. Fitting these hindcasts to observed height and periods indicates that the hindcasts have consistent biases that can be corrected for statistically. Past work generated bias corrections for 32 sites in the Channel Islands. We use these bias

Groundwater and Tidal Time Series Data, Operable Unit 2, Area 8, Naval Base Kitsap, Keyport, Washington

This Data release includes time series data collected at Operable Unit 2, Area 8, at Naval Base Kitsap, Keyport, WA. Groundwater elevations and water quality parameters in five monitoring wells, along with tide levels in Port Orchard Bay, were monitored every 15 minutes during a 3-week duration. Time series data were collected from October 24, 2017, to November 16, 2017, a period that included nea

Web Application for Viewing Earthquake- Triggered Ground-Failure Inventories

The web application is hosted through the U.S. Geological Survey's ArcGIS Online account. It provides users the opportunity to browse availible ground-failure datasets on a global scale. The user has multiple tools to aid in the acquisition of available datasets.

Trend analysis results for sites used in RESTORE Streamflow alteration assessments

Daily streamflow discharge data from 139 streamgages located on tributaries and streams flowing to the Gulf of Mexico were used to calculate mean monthly, mean seasonal, and decile values. Streamgages used to calculate trends required a minimum of 65 years of continuous daily streamflow data. These values were used to analyze trends in streamflow using the Mann-Kendall trend test in the R package

Hillslope hydrologic monitoring data following the 2009 Station Fire, Los Angeles County, California, November 2015 to June 2017

This data release includes time-series data from two monitoring stations in drainage basins burned in the 2009 Station Fire, Los Angeles County, California. Both stations are located near the upper boundary of their respective watershed and were installed to study the effects of vegetation recovery on hillslope hydrology and debris-flow occurrence. The data include 1-minute time series of rainfall

Fecundity of Sicklefin (Macrhybopsis meeki) and Shoal Chub (M. hyostoma)

Estimates of total fecundity of two Macrhybopsis species typically found in the lower Missouri river.

Predictions from the updated SPARROW suspended sediment models developed for western Oregon and northwestern California

This file contains estimates of long-term mean annual suspended-sediment loads for western Oregon and northwestern California as predicted by the USGS SPARROW model (Wise, 2018). This application of the SPARROW model used the NHDPlus Version 2 as a hydrologic framework and represented 2012 conditions.

Hydrological measurements of 300 US temporary wetlands from 2004-2014

This dataset includes hydrological measurements of 300 US temporary wetlands from 2004-2014.

Sap flow data from a long-hydroperiod forested wetland undergoing salinity intrusion in South Carolina, USA

These data represent sap flow measurements from four tree species and were recorded every 30 minutes over several months in 2015. Data were collected from a tidally-influenced freshwater forested wetland at Strawberry Swamp, located on Hobcaw Barony, which is approximately 7 km east of Georgetown, South Carolina, USA.

Appendices for Planetary Geologic Mapping: Program Status and Future Needs

Appendices include the original survey, response data, and collated results related to the Open File Report. Geoscience maps, regardless of target body, are spatial and temporal representations of materials and processes recorded on planetary surfaces (Varnes, 1973; Spencer, 2000). The information and context provided by these maps promote basic and applied research within and across various geosc
