EAARL Coastal Topography-Northern Assateague Island National Seashore, Maryland and Virginia, 2003: Bare Earth

These datasets, prepared by the U.S. Geological Survey St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center in collaboration with the National Park Service, provide lidar-derived bare-earth topography for Northern Assateague Island National Seashore, Maryland and Virginia. Elevation measurements were acquired by the Experimental Advanced Airborne Research Lidar (EAARL) during February 2003.

New Mexico Groundwater Data

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in New Mexico, in cooperation with the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer (NMOSE) and other Federal, State, and local agencies, currently monitors 1,800 groundwater wells dispersed throughout New Mexico in a 5-year rotation that have been measured continually since 1925; some well records go back even further.

The U.S. Geological Survey operates and maintains approximately 7,300 streamgages nationwide, 126 here in New Mexico, which provide long-term, accurate, and unbiased information that meets the needs of many diverse users.
