Model Archive for Analysis of Flows, Concentrations, and Loads of Highway and Urban Runoff and Receiving-Stream Stormwater in Southern New England with the Stochastic Empirical Loading and Dilution Model (SELDM)

This data release documents the data and models used to assess flows, concentrations, and loads of highway and urban runoff and of stormwater within receiving streams in southern New England. There are more than 48,000 locations in southern New England where roads cross streams and many more locations where runoff from developed areas may discharge to receiving streams; information about runoff di

Whooping crane migration habitat selection disturbance data and maps

These data and maps were developed to support an effort to understand how whooping cranes (Grus americana) select stopover habitat in the presence of human infrastructure. Location and associated data came from whooping cranes from the Aransas-Wood Buffalo Population, 2010–2016. We marked a sample of 57 whooping cranes with leg-mounted transmitters that acquired locations via the global positionin

Aerial Image of Alaska's Arctic Coastal Plain; 1974-1979

This dataset is comprised of 10 aerial images of three different study areas on Alaska\'s Arctic Coastal Plain flown by NASA in 1974, 1977, 1979 and obtained from the USGS EROS Data Center via the EarthExplorer website in 2013. The images represent an historical snapshot of the landscape from that time. The images were scanned and georeferenced to various contemporary (2002-2010) satellite imagery

Aerial Images of Alaska's Arctic Coastal Plain; 1948-1949

This dataset is comprised of 36 black and white 9x9 inch aerial images of four different study areas on Alaska\'s Arctic Coastal Plain taken between 1948-1949 and obtained from the Alaska Satellite Facility in 2013. The images represent an historical snapshot of the landscape from that time. \r\n The images were scanned and geo-referenced to various contemporary (2002-2010) satellite imagery using

Stream Temperature and Dissolved Oxygen Responses to Small Dams and Dam Removal in Massachusetts

Small, surface-release dams are ubiquitous across the U.S. and have the potential to alter stream flow, impede sediment and nutrient transport, and fragment biotic assemblages. To mitigate these and other ecological impacts and reduce public safety hazards, dam removal has become an increasingly prevalent method of stream restoration. However, few streams have been consistently monitored before an

Aggregated Oil and Natural Gas Drilling and Production History of the United States (ver. 1.1, April 2023)

This data release provides several datasets that provide an overview of oil and gas well history and production of the United States, from 1817 to September 1, 2022. Well history data is aggregated into 1- and 10-mile squares indicating the total number of wells and counts of wells classified as oil, gas, dry, injection, hydraulically fractured, and/or horizontal wells. Well history is also binned
