TanA: a fluorogenic probe for thiaminase activity
A fluorogenic thiamine analogue is presented as a fluorescent probe for thiaminase activity. The emission of the fluorophore is quenched by photoinduced electron transfer (PET) to the N-substituted pyridinium portion of the probe.
