Groundwater and Tidal Time-Series Data, Bremerton Naval Complex, Bremerton Washington

This data release includes time series data collected at the Bremerton Naval Complex, Bremerton WA. Groundwater levels and water quality parameters in two monitoring wells were recorded every 15 minutes during a 7-month deployment. Time series data were collected from June 29, 2018, to February 26, 2019. Field deployment details and quality assurance methods are included in the following paragraph

California State Waters Map Series Data Catalog--Punta Gorda to Point Arena

As part of the USGS's California State Waters Mapping Project, a 50-m grid of sediment thickness for the seafloor within the 3-nautical mile limit between Punta Gorda and Point Arena was generated from seismic-reflection data collected between 2010 and 2012, and supplemented with geologic structure (fault) information following the methodology of Wong (2012). Water depths determined from bathymetr

Seafloor Elevation Change From 2004 to 2016 at Looe Key, Florida Keys

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center conducted research to quantify bathymetric changes at Looe Key coral reef near Big Pine Key, Florida, within a 16.4 square-kilometer area between 2004 and 2016. USGS staff used light detection and ranging (lidar)-derived data acquired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Joint Airborne Lidar Bathymetry Techni

Land Use Land Cover for Selected Basins in Clarksburg, Montgomery County, MD

This dataset contains digitized land use/land cover (LULC) for the years 2011, 2015, and 2017. The dataset contains a 1-meter resolution raster maps for each year covering the geographic area for six watersheds within and near the Clarksburg Special Protection Area located in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA. The area includes LULC within 500-foot buffered watersheds. Watershed boundaries for Cabi

Aboveground Biomass Data Collected in 2016-17 from Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia

Aboveground Biomass Data from Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. Plot data includes X and Y location, downed dead wood (DDW) count, mangrove species identification, and site descriptions. Species information was recorded for Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Sonneratia alba, Xylocarpus granatum, Lumnitzera littorea, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora lamarckii, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa and

Water-quality and streamflow datasets used for estimating long-term mean daily streamflow and annual loads to be considered for use in regional streamflow, nutrient and sediment SPARROW models, United States, 1999-2014

The United States Geological Survey's (USGS) SPAtially Referenced Regressions On Watershed attributes (SPARROW) model was developed to aid in the interpretation of monitoring data and simulate water-quality conditions in streams across large spatial scales. SPARROW is a hybrid empirical/process-based mass balance model that can be used to estimate the major sources and environmental factors that a

Projections of Future Water Demand for the Western USA

This data release contains projections of future water demand for the Western USA at the county level. This data is part of the project "Changes to Watershed Vulnerability under Future Climates, Fire Regimes, and Population Pressures" (https://www.sciencebase.gov/catalog/item/531dc54de4b04cb293ee7806), and is the product of an analysis that determined where populations are changing, and how that c

Cold-water Coral Metagenomes (Lophelia pertusa) from Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean: Raw Data

The files in this data release are the raw DNA metagenome sequence files referenced in Chapter 2 of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Environmental Studies Program Report entitled "Multidisciplinary Assessment of Deep-Water Coral Ecosystems: Tools to Detect Impacts of Sub-lethal Stress." Chapter 2, written by Christina A. Kellogg, is entitled "Deep-Sea Coral Metagenomes." The files represent a

Waihou Mitigation Area, Maui Island, bat acoustic activity, diet and prey availability, 2015 to 2018

Habitat use, diet, prey availability and foraging ecology of the endangered Hawaiian hoary bat (Lasiurus cinereus semotus, Vespertilionidae) were examined in the east Maui region inclusive of the Waihou Mitigation Area, Pu'u Makua Restoration Area and the wind power facility operated by Auwahi Wind Energy, LLC. The study was conducted to inform the mitigation and management requirements of Auwahi

Weather Station Data on the Juneau Icefield

Since the 1940s, the Juneau Icefield Research Program (JIRP) has been measuring surface mass balance on the Juneau Icefield. This is the longest ongoing program of its kind in North America. The program nominally occurs between late June and late August, traversing between Juneau, Alaska and Atlin, British Columbia. JIRP has examined the surface mass balance of the Juneau Icefield since 1946, with

Amphibian monitoring data collected from Indiana hardwood forests, 2015-2016

This data set contains information on detections of amphibians at four bottomland hardwood restoration sites in northeastern Indiana in 2015 and 2016. Amphibian communities were surveyed using four different methods - automated recording units, diurnal visual encounter surveys along transects, nocturnal transect surveys, and amphibian rapid assessments. The data set contains three tables: 1) site
