Abundance, harvests, and harvest rates of selected duck species in the Atlantic Flyway, 1998-2017

These data provide estimates of abundance and measures of harvest pressure for five species (mallard, American green-winged teal, wood duck, ring-necked duck, and Common and Barrows' goldeneyes combined) of ducks breeding in the Atlantic Flyway of North America, 1998-2017. Abundance data are based on federal and state surveys encompassing southern Ontario, Quebec, and Maine south to Florida. Harve

Drought Streamflow Probabilities in Northeast Region

Maximum likelihood logistic regression (MLLR) is used to estimate drought probabilities for selected Northeast rivers and streams. Winter streamflows are used to estimate the chance of hydrologic drought during summer months. This application allows the display and query of these drought streamflow probabilities for Northeastern streams.

Geomorphic Change Data for the Little Colorado River, Arizona, USA

These data include geospatial files (shapefiles and orthorectified raster images) and an input hydrograph (csv) for a 1-dimensional unsteady hydrologic model. Shapefiles consist of active channel boundarys and channel centerlines of six reaches of the LCR beginning ~4.5 km above Grand Falls, AZ, and ending ~12.8 km downstream from Cameron, AZ. These reaches are (1) the ~4.5 km above Grand Falls re

Point-Source Nutrient Loads to Streams of the Conterminous United States, 2012

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) developed a spatial water-quality model called SPAtially Referenced Regressions On Watershed attributes (SPARROW) to estimate the major sources and environmental factors that affect the long-term supply, transport, and fate of contaminants in the Nation's streams. The SPARROW model relates in-stream water-quality data to spatially referenced characteristics of wat

Fish Species Composition and Diet Information in Lakes of the Arctic Coastal Plain, Alaska, 2011-2013

This dataset provides information on fish species composition and their diet information for 16 lakes and 16 ponds at two locations on the central Arctic Coastal Plain, Alaska. In one table, we provide the presence of fish species and the total species count for each lake or pond sampled. This table also includes metrics of surface water connectivity to the stream network. In a second table, stoma

Water level and soil pore water salinity, temperature, and conductivity data in tidally influenced forested wetlands in South Carolina and Georgia

Data were collected from coastal wetlands (tidal swamps and marsh) along the Waccamaw and Savannah Rivers in South Carolina and Georgia (See Krauss et al. 2009 for additional details). Data were collected from coastal wetlands (tidal swamps and marsh) along the Waccamaw and Savannah Rivers in South Carolina and Georgia (See Krauss et al. 2009 for additional details). Data collected include water l

Indo-West Pacific species of Trachinotus with spots on their sides as adults, with description of a new species endemic to the Marquesas Islands (Teleostei: Carangidae)

The dataset is a composite of morphological data used in the description of a new species of marine fish, Trachinotus macrospilus (Teleostei: Carangidae), endemic to the Marquesas Islands of the Indo-West Pacific. In the addition to the newly described species, three previously named (nominate) species of the same genus are compared and redescribed in this same manuscript. The morphological data i

High resolution water temperature data for Dexter Reservoir, Oregon, USA, May 29 to July 20, 2014

This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Data Release provides high resolution water temperature data collected at a long-term monitoring site in Dexter Reservoir, Oregon, USA, May 29 to July 20, 2014. All data are reported as raw measured values in degrees Celsius (C) and are not rounded to USGS significant figures. A distributed temperature sensing cable was used for high resolution measurement of wat

Tree mortality in Sequoia National Park from 2004 to 2007 and during severe drought in 2014 to 2017

These data describe tree mortality and the factors associated with tree mortality for a variety of plots in Sequoia National Park. Most of the data were collected between 2014 and 2017 (during an extremely severe drought), along with some comparison data from 2004 to 2007. These data support the following publication: Stephenson, N.L., Das, A.J., Ampersee, N.J., Bulaon, B.M., and Yee, J.L.,

Geospatial data for a Flood-Inundation Mapping Study of the Huron River near Hamburg, Michigan

The development and the generation of the dataset that is published through this data release, is based on the results and findings of the report mentioned here: Prokopec, J.G., 2018, Hydraulic modeling and flood-inundation mapping for the Huron River and Ore Lake Tributary, Livingston County, Michigan: U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Report 2018-5048, https://doi.org/10.3133/sir2

Storm characteristics, concentrations, and loads measured at the Coanda-effect treatment vault, Madison, Wisconsin (2016-17)

This dataset characterizes water quality and quantity data from 33 storm events at the influent and effluent of a stormwater treatment vault modified with a Coanda-effect screen in Madison, Wisconsin (2016-17). Event dates, event duration, precipitation depth, 15-minute intensity, 30-minute intensity, 60-minute intensity, event volume, and peak discharge are shown with corresponding influent and e

Geophysical surveys and geospatial data for Bob Kidd Lake, Washington County, Arkansas

This data release consists of three different types of data: including direct current (DC) resistivity profiles, frequency domain electromagnetic (FDEM) survey data, and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) coordinate data of the geophysical measurement locations. A data dictionary is included along with the data and defines all of the table headings, definitions, and units. Earthen dam
