Mohawk River Basin Water Quality Sampling Sites

Mohawk River Basin Water Quality Sampling Sites

Spatial distribution of Rhodamine WT dye concentration measured in the Des Plaines River and the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal, Chicago, IL in November 2011

These data were collected during a dye tracing study of the lower Des Plaines River and lower Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal (CSSC) in November 2011 by the U.S. Geological Survey. The study attempted to identify potential inflows of Des Plaines River water through the fractured bedrock that separates the two water bodies. Data include Rhodamine WT dye concentrations measured every 3 or 10 minutes

2016 One-Year Seismic Hazard Forecast for the Central and Eastern United States from Induced and Natural Earthquakes

A one-year seismic hazard forecast for the Central and Eastern United States (CEUS), based on induced and natural earthquakes, has been produced by the U.S. Geological Survey. The model assumes that earthquake rates calculated from several different time windows will remain relatively stationary and can be used to forecast earthquake hazard and damage intensity for the year 2016. This assessment

Water Quality and Hydrologic Data (2011-13) for Freshwater Science Paper titled, "Patterns of Diel Variation in Nitrate Concentrations in the Potomac River"

This data set includes nitrate concentration, water temperature, and discharge collected every 15 minutes during Dec. 2011 - Nov. 2013 from the USGS gage at the Potomac River near Wash, DC, Little Falls Pump Sta (01646500). Additional data includes day length, and photosynthetically active radiation from USDA research station in Beltsville, MD. Several calculations derived from these data are incl

Water Data Mapper

The National Water Information System (NWIS) provides map-interface access to data at over 1.5 million water-monitoring sites.

Water Quality

Table-based interface allow you to get the latest water-quality data for thousands of water monitoring sites in the Nation.

Groundwater

Table-based interface allow you to get the latest groundwater levels data for thousands of water monitoring sites in the Nation.

Surface water

Table-based interface allow you to get the latest streamflow and other surface-water data for thousands of water monitoring sites in the Nation.

Flood Watch

Where in the Nation are floods or very high flows occurring now? How can I see these sites on a map and get to the data?

Surface Water Watch

WaterWatch displays maps, graphs, and tables describing real-time, recent, and past streamflow conditions for the United States.

Subscribe to Volcano Notification Services

The Volcano Notification Service (VNS) is a free service that sends you notification emails about volcanic activity happening at U.S. monitored volcanoes. You can customize the VNS to deliver notifications for certain volcanoes or a range of volcanoes, and you can also choose the notification types you want to receive. Notifications are issued by the five U.S. Volcano Observatories.

Programmatic Access

A well-structured format readily parsed by most programming languages. This is a good option for software developers wishing to use earthquake data.
