Results of a U.S. General Public Survey to Inform the 2018 North American Waterfowl Management Plan Update (2017)

This contains data from 1,030 surveys returned in 2017 from across the United States. Data were collected via a mail-out survey stratified by the population of each state. Data collected include nature-related activity participation, attitudes and barriers to hunting and birdwatching, knowledge of others who hunt and birdwatch, preferred birds, involvement in conservation activities, preferences f

Metals and Other Constituent Concentrations in Sediment of Selected Streams Draining the Tri-State Mining District, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas, 201112

Lead and zinc were mined in the Tri-State Mining District (TSMD) of southwest Missouri, northeast Oklahoma, and southeast Kansas for more than 100 years. The effects of mining on the landscape are still evident, nearly 50 years after the last mine ceased operation. The legacies of mining are the mine waste and discharge of groundwater from underground mines. The mine-waste piles and underground mi

Supplemental data from: A Process to Estimate Net Infiltration using a Site-Scale Water-Budget Approach, Rainier Mesa, Nevada National Security Site, 2002-05

This USGS data release represents tabular data for a process to estimate net infiltration using a site-scale water-budget approach, Rainier Mesa, Nevada National Security Site, 2002-05. This dataset consists of the following: (1) Measured and corrected precipitation data from A12 weather station, Rainier Mesa, Nevada National Security Site, July 1, 2002 to June 30, 2005. (2) Inventory of net radia

A database of instrumentally recorded ground motion intensity measurements from induced earthquakes in Oklahoma and Kansas

The database contains uniformly processed ground motion intensity measurements (peak horizontal ground motions and 5-percent-damped pseudospectral accelerations for oscillator periods 0.110 s). The earthquake event set includes more than 3,800 M≥3 earthquakes in Oklahoma and Kansas from January 2009 to December 2016. Ground motion time series were collected out to 500 km. We also relocated the maj

Watershed Data Management (WDM) Database (WBDR13.WDM) for West Branch DuPage River Streamflow Simulation, DuPage County, Illinois, January 1, 2007, through September 30, 2013

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with DuPage County Stormwater Management Department, maintains a watershed data management (WDM) database of hourly meteorological and hydrologic data for use in a near real-time streamflow simulation system. These data are stored daily in the WDM database by USGS staff and are initially provisional and subject to change due to periodic equipment m

Input data of WRTDS models to determine trends in the sediment loads of Coastal Plain rivers

Input data for WRTDS models to determine changes in sediment loads in Coastal Plain Rivers of the Atlantic Coast, United States.

Increasing floodplain connectivity through urban stream restoration increases nutrient and sediment retention

Data collected to measure the effects of urban stream restoration on increasing hydrologic connectivity to floodplains and resulting floodplain ecosystem geomorphic and soil attributes, sediment and nutrient loading, and rates of nutrient biogeochemistry processes (denitrification; N and P mineralization).

Cumulative spring discharge and survey effort influence threatened Suwannee moccasinshell, Medionidus walkeri, occupancy and detection

Freshwater mussels (Unionidae) are among the most imperiled groups of organisms in the world. Unionids are plagued with a lack of basic information regarding species distributions, life history characteristics, and ecological and biological requirements. We assessed the influence of hydrologic factors on the occurrence of the Suwannee Moccasinshell, Medionidus walkeri, a federally threatened fresh

Supplemental stream-stage, discharge, and Escherichia coli datasets used in the assessment of water quality at Tumaccori National Historical Park and the Upper Santa Cruz River, 20092017

Tumaccori National Historical Park (TUMA) was established in 1908 to protect, preserve, and communicate the history of the old Spanish and Oodham mission church. In 2002, Congress expanded the Parks purpose and mission, increasing the Parks area to include more than 1 mile of the Santa Cruz River and its associated riparian area. As part of the USGSNPS Water-Quality Partnership, a three year inves

Time Series Electromagnetic Induction-Log Datasets, Including LogsCollected through the 2016 Water Year in South Florida

Time series electromagnetic induction-log (TSEMIL) datasets are collected from PVC cased or uncased monitoring wells to evaluate changes in water conductivity over time. TSEMIL datasets consist of a series of individual electromagnetic induction logs collected at a frequency of months or years that have been compiled into a dataset by eliminating small uniform offsets in bulk conductivity between

Time Series Electromagnetic Induction-Log Datasets, Including Logs Collected through the 2015 Water Year in South Florida

Time series electromagnetic induction-log (TSEMIL) datasets are collected from PVC cased or uncased monitoring wells to evaluate changes in water conductivity over time. Post-wildfire debris-flow monitoring data, Arroyo Seco, 2009 Station Fire, Los Angeles County, California, November 2009 to March 2010.

This data release includes time-series data from a monitoring site located in a small drainage basin in the Arroyo Seco watershed in Los Angeles County, CA, USA (N3788964 E389956, UTM Zone 11, NAD83). The site was established after the 2009 Station Fire and recorded a series debris flows in the first winter after the fire. The data include three types of time-series: (1) 1-minute time series of ra
