A saltwater tracer was injected into the shallow aquifer at a uranium-contaminated site in Colorado and monitored for 28 days using a combination of geophysical and well-sampling arrays; the sampling array is marked by the white standpipes adjacent to the central injection tank.

Crocodilians are one of the few reptile taxa that exhibit parental care. In alligators, following nest construction, females stay nearby in a guard hole, and are known to defend their nests against predators or other intruders.

This photo shows a group of bubbles about 5 m (16 ft) across bursting on the Halema‘uma‘u lava lake at the summit of Kīlauea Volcano. The blue line is an infrasound recording of 50 seconds of similar activity.
